Lianne is originally from the South Wales Valleys and studied at The Welsh School of Architecture (WSA), Cardiff University, before completing her Postgraduate Diploma of Professional Practice (RIBA Part III) at Westminster University in 2013.
Lianne worked for the award winning Welsh practice Loyn & Co in Penarth before moving to London in 2008. She has since worked for Brighton and London based practice Camillin Denny Architects, and Islington based practice Tasou Associates. Lianne began collaborating with Phil Henshaw on a range of architecture and design competitions shortly after completing her Master (RIBA Part II) in 2008. Lianne has also worked as a registered part-time visiting tutor at UWIC Art School. |
Phil grew up on the stunning Lleyn peninsula in North Wales before moving to Cardiff to complete his Undergraduate and Masters degree at The Welsh School of Architecture (WSA).
From 2007 – 2008, he worked as a teaching assistant to the MA Urban Design programme at the WSA whilst undertaking an MPhil research degree on the potential for temporary urbanism in the post-industrial Rhondda Valley, South Wales. Phil spent 5 years in the architecture and urban design teams of Fletcher Priest Architects, before joining Suttonca Architects in January 2013. Phil began collaborating with Lianne Russ on a range of architecture and design competitions in 2008 and has remained a visiting critic at WSA since completing his post as a teaching assistant. |
